
Aaroh Kharaya
Aaroh Kharaya is a California-licensed Professional Engineer, IEEE Senior Member, and recognised practitioner in utility-scale energy storage engineering with more than a decade of experience spanning project development, system architecture, and technical due diligence. He currently serves as Director of Engineering at Primergy Solar, where he has contributed to the design and delivery of more than 1.5 GW of battery energy storage projects worldwide. His most notable work has been as lead engineer on the Gemini Solar-Plus-Storage project in Nevada — a 690 MW solar, 1,406 MWh co-located BESS facility and one of the largest hybrid storage projects in North America, supported by $1.9 billion in project financing. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kharaya served as Product Manager for Energy Storage Services at Clean Energy Associates, and senior engineering and commercial roles at NEC Energy Solutions, where he supported the commissioning of over 300 MWh of systems across grid, behind-the-meter, and microgrid applications. Mr. Kharaya is an active contributor to industry knowledge on energy storage architecture and market development. He participated at the Wood Mackenzie Solar & Energy Storage Summit, the IEEE Power & Energy Society – Boston, and ATA Insights, and was a featured guest on The Battery Lab podcast. His published work in trade media has been cited in New York City energy policy research and the BCP Journal. Mr. Kharaya holds a Master of Science in Green Technologies from the University of Southern California.
