Pooja Shah is a recognized leader in the energy storage industry and a Senior Consultant in DNV’s Energy Storage and Emerging Technologies Advisory. With deep technical expertise and a strategic understanding of project finance, Ms. Shah leads DNV’s technical due diligence practice for Production Tax Credit (PTC) and Investment Tax Credit (ITC) transfer transactions across technologies. She has advised on some of the most complex and high-impact tax equity, debt, and tax credit transfer deals in the clean energy sector, bringing a strong focus on bankability, performance risk, and long-term asset value.

Ms. Shah’s career reflects a sustained commitment to advancing energy storage deployment at scale. At DNV, she previously led Owner’s Engineering services for energy storage, where she helped developers and investors navigate critical design, procurement, and execution decisions across a broad portfolio of utility-scale projects. Prior to DNV, she was a lead engineer at Kiewit Energy, supporting the engineering and design for some of the largest solar and storage projects in North America.

In addition to her technical and commercial leadership, Ms. Shah serves as an influential voice shaping the direction of the storage industry. She chaired the Battery Asset Management Summit and served on its advisory board, and has been a featured speaker at several key industry conferences, where she shares insights on market trends, risk management, and financing strategies for energy storage. Ms. Shah holds a Master of Science in Systems Engineering with a focus on renewable energy systems from Syracuse University in New York.
